Alicia Keys had prepared to be a musician her entire life. Playing piano by age 7, majoring in choir in school, and growing up listening to the likes of Roberta Flack and Nina Simone – she prepared well. Winning five Grammy Awards for her debut album – including Best New Artist and Song of the Year - did just that. Alicia Keys was the hottest thing in the industry at that time. Alicia Keys got to the top of the mountain very quick. And she became determined to stay there with her 2003 sophomore release The Diary Of Alicia Keys. She has become a true force to be reckoned with after just 3 years and two albums.
