Kenny Chesney writes and sings songs that reflect his own life and experiences. It just happens to be that he shares a lot of the same experiences and feelings with most of America. He’s as typical as they come in a world of loves, broken hearts and lost nights.
The going was slow the first couple of years. He made the rounds of the publishing companies without much success. Kenny Chesney’s debut album “My Wildest Dreams” hit the stores in 1993 followed by “All I Need to Know” in 1995 and “Me & You” in 1996. In 1997, Kenny released “I Will Stand”, but it wasn’t until 1999 with the release of “Everywhere We Go” that Chesney had his first smash hit. The album was boosted to double platinum status with the help of his single “You Had Me From Hello”.
Not wanting to stop the grind Kenny released another album in 2002. “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem” has sold over 2 million copies. With the 2002 Billboard Country Single of the Year “The Good Stuff” under his belt buckle, Kenny Chesney was ready to take the world by storm, and he did. Kenny Chesney has announced a new tour with last year's top-grossing and top-drawing country music act, and will kick off the first leg of his 2005 tour on March 11 in Green Bay, WI. Joining the Tennessee native on the outing will be opening acts Gretchen Wilson and Uncle Kracker.
